In my first ever post on this blog I laid out all my measurements and despite the initial nerves I had a really positive response.
Lots of people were telling me they had similar stats to me and were getting to the point where it just felt like losing weight was never going to happen and maybe some of us are meant to be on the larger size (I never know how to say things like this without offending anyone). Hopefully the below stats will prove things can change, but I will be the first to admit it takes A LOT of hard work.
Weight loss isn’t easy. Any celeb who is quoted as saying it is can quite frankly do one. It’s a constant battle with mind over matter and the past year I’ve fallen off the wagon a few times spectacularly, but you have to be careful not to turn a bad meal into a bad day, week, habit. I for one know how important it is to take each day as it comes, setting short term goals for long term gains. Yes, I went there with the naff cliche…
Rather than prattle on I’ll leave you with my current stats. These are still to be worked on, especially around the hip, stomach and thigh area where I store most my fat. But I’m happy that I’m seeing results from my “before“.
Weight: 10 stones 9 lbs ( – 2 stones 5lbs)
Bust: 36 inches ( – 4 inches)
Waist: 28.5 inches ( – 5.5 inches)
Hips: 38 inches ( – 6 inches)
Thighs: 23.5 inches ( – 1.5 inches)
Arms: 11 inches ( – 2 inches)
Bizarrely I’ve also gone down a shoe size!
As you can see there is definitely improvement, although I’ll hold my hands up now and say the most recent photo (bottom right) was first thing in the morning before I’d eaten. My stomach doesn’t look like that all the time at the moment, but that is a nice goal to aim to.
